There is a lot of hoopla (and deservedly so) about timeshare resorts in tropical places such as the Caribbean and Hawaii, and even fancy ski areas as in the Rockies. But if you are looking for just plain wonderfulness, there are great budget timeshares for rent in beautiful destinations you just might not know about. The Wyndham Smoky Mountains is one such resort and an ideal family vacation spot.
Located in Sevierville, TN, you might think that this destination is a bit too remote. Actually, it's smartly located between Pigeon Forge (a la Dollywood) and Gatlinburg (the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park). If ever there was a fantastic destination for a family vacation, this resort is it.
For year round fun, the Wyndham Smoky Mountains resort has four swimming pools - 2 indoors, and 2 heated outdoor pools. The full-service health club not only offers the latest exercise equipment, but tanning facilities and a sauna as well.
You'll find relaxing in your villa the easiest thing you'll do on your vacation, since every unit has a deck with panoramic views of the mountains and gentle farmlands. When you have your energy back you can get going on the hiking trails that start right outside the resort and take you through lovely protected woodlands.
In December there are many Christmas activities in both Gatlinburg and Dollywood to get the holiday season started. Snow permitting, you can also enjoy downhill skiing at Ober Gatlinburg, and cross-country skiing in the Park.
Besides a fully equipped full-sized kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a Jacuzzi tub in the master suite, your budget timeshare also has a fireplace for those cozy Smoky Mountain evenings. And don't forget the nearby live entertainment at Dollywood, movie theaters and restaurants in Gatlinburg, and outdoor activities such as fishing and golfing. You'll definitely find something for each member of the family when you vacation at the beautiful Wyndham Smoky Mountains resort. See all Tennessee timeshare rentals.

I definitely suggest going to Dollywood for their Christmas extravaganza. Really a fun time without the crowds like at Disney.
This area is a wonderful winter vacation spot - just enough chill in the air, sometimes a little rain or snow, that makes enjoying the timeshare fireplace fun, and easy to enjoy outdoor activities without extreme winter conditions. We love it.
My suggestion is to remember to go here in the spring. The Smokey Mountain National Park is also known as the "Wildflower National Park" and boy, is it ever. Amazing.
