Still Time to See the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights

Awesome. Amazing. Absolutely Unbelievable. Ever wanted to see something that made your jaw drop? That made your kids squeal with delight in wide-eyed wonder? Well, leave it to Disney.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on the Streets of America at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park is one of the most astonishing sights you and your family will ever see. Rent a Disney timeshare in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and take the family for this once-in-a- lifetime (or perhaps the beginning of a family tradition) experience. Your timeshare may be wonderfully budget, but this spectacular encounter is worth a million dollars.

The Osborne family began in Arkansas decorating the outside of their home with Christmas lights that became more and more elaborate over the years. In 1995 Walt Disney World Resort representatives approached the family with an offer to display their spectacular design for all the world to see.

The "primary Holiday Happening" at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Spectacle of Dancing Lights is now an annual tradition. Every building along the Streets of America is completely enveloped in lights. In 2006 the lights were set to music, choreographed to dance with cheerful holiday tunes every 15 minutes. The lights dim then blaze, swirl, swing and twirl. You'll see animated displays of carousels, angels, toy soldiers and even Santa and his reindeer amidst the dazzling buildings. You might even be surprised by softly falling snow!

The stats for this breathtaking sight are formidable: 5 million lights, 32 miles of extension cables, 66 snow machines, and 100 gallons of snow fluid each night. And to make this especially fun for you Disneyophiles - there are 43 hidden Mickeys in this spectacle!

If you can't make it to the Dancing Lights spectacular this year - plan now to rent a timeshare next year for one of the most wondrous Christmas adventures you can give your family. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights dazzles Disney Hollywood Studios every year from mid-November through the first weekend of January.

Never Buy Timeshare While on Vacation

Just picture it. You are at your ideal vacation destination. You are relaxed and soaking up the sun while wiggling your toes in the sand, or skiing the fresh powder on your favorite slopes, or enjoying 18 holes at your favorite golf course and you decide to put some time aside and attend a timeshare presentation. You love the resort and it seems like a good fit with your lifestyle so you can’t see any reason not to sign on the dotted line, right then and there.

Well, think again. While you are at your most relaxed on vacation, you are not in your best business mindset to make such a large financial decision, and the resort developer is counting on that. Even though you love the resort and are ready to make a timeshare purchase, you need to take a step back and think it through without the distraction of being right on the property. Don’t get swept up in the luxury and relaxation the beautiful resort has provided. Do yourself a favor and sleep on it once you are back at home.

The best way to buy a timeshare is on the secondary market. Buying a timeshare resale will help you save money (potentially up to half as much as the developer would charge). Follow these steps for a successful timeshare resale purchase:
  • Research: Do your own online research to be sure you are getting the week and unit size that’s best for you.

  • Get Advice: Connect with other timeshare owners in online timeshare forums to ask questions about the resort you are considering. They will tell you pros and cons.

  • Tax Deductions: Discuss your purchase with your tax professional BEFORE you get a loan. He can tell you how to get the maximum deductions.
Timeshare ownership can be a great experience and help you save on future vacations by locking in your price for accommodations at today’s rates. Make sure that price is as low as it can be by buying a timeshare resale. You’ll be glad you did.

Discover Wet and Wild Marine Life on Your Next Oahu Vacation

Most of us head to Hawaii for sunbathing on gorgeous beaches, playing in sparkling waves, surfing, out-rigger rides, and any host of other fun activities a sunny beach vacation affords. But Oahu has some water activities you may not have thought of - a spotlight on the wonderful array of marine life that is special to the tropics. Rent an Oahu timeshare and head out to discover the wet and wild.

The Waikiki Aquarium is a world class marine research institution founded in 1914, and is under the direction of the University of Hawaii. With over 500 species of marine animals and plants to view, and wonderfully situated along a living coral reef on the Waikiki shore, it has been designated a Coastal Ecosystem Learning Center of the tropical Pacific. Here your family will see everything from zebra sharks to the highly endangered Hawaiian Monk seal, and the kids will have fun spotting a real life Nemo and Dori. The Waikiki Aquarium was the first aquarium in the world to breed the chambered nautilus.

Sea Life Park Hawaii is an exciting place to get up close and personal with Hawaii's marine life. This marine attraction is in an incomparable setting, located just 30 minutes from Honolulu on Oahu's windward side, between the beautiful Ko'olau Mountain Range and wonderful Makapu'u Beach. Many interactive programs will give you and your family once-in-a-lifetime experiences when you swim with dolphins, play with sea lions, and even don a diving helmet and walk through the water among colorful reef fish and friendly sea turtles.

Humpback whales like Hawaii just as much as you do, and start showing up in November. By January most have arrived in the warm Hawaiian waters where they reproduce, give birth and nurse their young - and sing. Whale watching is in full-swing from January through April. It is very possible to spot these whales from land, but they generally stay 2-3 miles off shore, and even with binoculars your view of them will be less than impressive. Instead, consider one of the many government-regulated whale watch cruises, some with on-board marine naturalists as guides, and have the exciting adventure of seeing these magnificent marine animals up close.

Focusing on Hawaii's remarkable and precious marine life, your family will truly find their timeshare vacation on Oahu a very special experience.

The City by the Bay has its own unique take on Christmas celebrations. In San Francisco you'll find everything to do from building an extravagant gingerbread house to strolling along Victorian England streets with Dickens himself.

New Orleans adds spice to Christmas with its own unique exotic flavors. From a tour of the decorated private residences in the French Quarter to the Celebration in the Oaks Christmas festival held under a lighted canopy of magnificent century-old trees, your Christmas experience will be as special as the Crescent City itself.

In Florida have fun with Santa on an ice speed slide at the Gaylord Palms Resorts fantastical ICE Celebration. Don warm parkas and romp through a Christmas wonderland made entirely out of one million tons of ice.

And finally, the south sea islands, and the sweet sight of …Santa in an out-rigger canoe? And 5 other free fun things to do in Hawaii at Christmas!

Vacation in the City by the Bay for Christmas

San Francisco is a sparkling City by the Bay at Christmas time. Rent a San Francisco timeshare (you can get a timeshare right downtown if you want), and check out why San Francisco is known for its many ways of giving the entire family a great Christmas vacation experience.

As usual in San Francisco there is a holiday boat-load of things to do. The Zoolights and Reindeer Romp at the Zoo will delight the kids with dazzling holiday lights and real reindeer. The Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink is set up at the Embarcadero just during Christmas and is the largest outdoor rink in Northern California

And there are three distinct Holiday activities to celebrate Christmas that are as unique as San Francisco itself.

  • San Francisco’s Exploratorium, the world's first interactive children's museum, has holiday fun in store for the entire family. "Folk Play from Around the World at the Holidays" spotlights Christmas folk arts and crafts from different cultures. Your family can participate in workshops teaching everything Mexican tin art to Turkish rug making. Or take time out to enjoy "A Holiday Animation Festival" a fun holiday film series to help you get in the Christmas mood.

  • The Annual Gingerbread Architecture Extravaganza, the "sweetest event of the holiday season," is held across the bay in artsy Sausalito. An easy drive or a fun ferry ride will get you to the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Here members of your family can create the most extravagant gingerbread houses their imaginations can conjure up.

  • The Dickens Christmas Fair is housed in the Cow Palace and has been a tradition for 31 years. This huge exhibition hall is transformed into the streets of London, complete with winding lanes that take you past Victorian homes, shoppes and even ale houses. You'll wander amidst carolers, chimney sweeps and characters from Dickens novels, including Fezziweg and Oliver Twist. On six different stages you'll be invited to join mini stage plays depicting scenes from the books, including Fezziweg's happy holiday celebration.
The Fair is a special place for children as they see Father Christmas, taste roasted chestnuts, roll handmade beeswax candles, ride a hand-powered carousel, and watch a real Punch and Judy puppet show. Through December 20th.

Whatever activities you and your family choose to do on your Christmas vacation to San Francisco, it will be a Christmas celebration the entire family will long remember. Relax in your timeshare rental and enjoy this special time together.

Travel to the Gaylord ICE Celebration

There's a resort in Florida that turns to ICE this time of year. Yes, in Florida, where in December people flock for warm sun and orange trees, the Gaylord Palms Resort goes for the frigid and chilly instead. By renting Kissimmee timeshare or nearby Orlando timeshare you'll easily be able to afford to take the entire family to the Gaylord's nationally renowned ICE celebration.

Known as the "Florida Fridge," this incredible exhibition is carved out of one million tons of ice and housed in a structure that is kept at a freezing 9 degrees. Inside (don't worry, the resort provides warm parkas) you'll experience a winter wonderland of interactive exhibits and huge monuments and sculptures made of ice. All hand-carved by a team of renowned artisans from Harbin, China, the icy attraction is spectacularly lit with dazzling colorful lights.

One of the exhibits sure to excite the kids is a life-size ice carousel in the middle of a fun Christmas Carnival. And this year you'll be journeying to the North Pole where you'll watch Santa and his reindeer as they take off on their annual Christmas Eve trip. You can even ride with Santa down an ice speed slide!

One of the most popular displays is a life-size nativity scene carved out of clear ice. As the Gaylord describes it: "It is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking depictions of the birth of Christ and along with its stirring narrative track gives guests a moment to pause for reflection on the story behind the season."

The ticket prices for the ICE show at the Gaylord Palms Resort are between $19.99 and $25.99 for adults, depending on the day of the week and the package. All children's tickets (ages 4-12) are just $9.99. This is a magical "you gotta see it to believe it" memory-making Christmas experience for the entire family! Through January 3, 2010.

Travel to the Southwest Coast of Florida

The beautiful southwest coast of Florida is known as the Paradise Coast. Rent a timeshare in Naples, Bonita Springs, or nearby Marco Island to enjoy a bit of Paradise yourself. When you get there, visit the beach in Naples and see if you agree with the Travel Channel who voted it the best beach in America in 2005.

The area of Naples was settled in the 1800s as a vacation destination. When the promoters touted the stunning bay as "surpassing the bay in Naples, Italy" the name of Naples stuck. In 2009 Naples was ranked as "one of the 10 pricey cities worth its high cost." The good news for budget-minded family vacationers is that by renting a timeshare you can enjoy this luxury vacation destination without breaking the bank.

Besides the many water and nature oriented activities available along Florida's Paradise Coast, there are many other things to do and see. The Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens puts Tiger Forest, Panther Glade, and African Oasis within one beautiful botanical garden. And just within 30 minutes of Naples are the Major League Baseball spring training facilities of both the Minnesota Twins and the Boston Red Sox.

The performing arts community is largely why both CNN and Money Magazine have recognized the Naples area as one of the top five "Best places for a long life in the United States." The Philharmonic Center for the Arts plays host to celebrities and regularly brings in touring Broadway shows. The Naples Players at the Sugden Community Theatre has been designated as one of the top three Community Theater companies in the United States.

Retirees renting a budget timeshare here will be glad to know that Naples proclaims itself the "Golf Capital of the World." With over 80 championship golf courses at your disposal, you'll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the links and bring that handicap down! See Naples timeshares. See Marco Island timeshares. See Bonita Springs timeshares.

Try Steamboat Springs for your Next Family Vacation

Rent a budget timeshare and take the family to ski at famous Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Variously known as "Steamboat," "The Boat," or even "Ski Town, U.S.A." this northern Colorado town tucked in the Rockies is internationally known for its "Champagne Powder® snow."

There are no steamboats high in the mountains. The town was named by early settlers for the bubbling "steamboat" sound of a nearby spring. Today there are two hot springs where your family can have the exhilarating experience of soaking in steamy water while surrounded by snow. In town is the Old Town Hot Springs with multiple pools and two slides. A few miles out of town is the smaller but beautiful Strawberry Park Hot Springs that has two pools and natural rock features.

When you rent a timeshare at the Wyndham Vacation Resorts Steamboat Springs you'll be just minutes from the world-famous ski slopes (see photo). Timeshare rentals here start at just $128/night. The amenities include swimming pools, a game room and a sauna. The units are equipped with full kitchens, washer and dryers and gas fireplaces.

Timeshare rentals at the WorldMark Steamboat Springs Resort start at just $150/night to sleep six. The resort's amenities include, among other things, a Health Club, hot tubs, and a racquetball court. The units have kitchens with a dishwasher, in-room laundry facilities and gas fireplaces.

Besides the thrill of skiing in a world-famous ski area, be it downhill, cross-country, or boarding, Steamboat Springs offers many other winter activities. Go dog-sledding, ice fishing, and helicopter sightseeing. Try ice climbing, ice skating, and snow tubing. Go on a sleigh dinner ride or a photography tour. The opportunities to have a fantastic family winter vacation in Steamboat Springs timeshare are almost limitless!

This Christmas Travel to New Orleans

Christmas in New Orleans is unique with the special flare of French, Creole, American and Caribbean influences. Rent an elegant timeshare at a budget price and experience Christmas in Louisiana's famed Crescent City.

The architecture in New Orleans is famous for its elaborate French and Spanish designs, and examples of the simpler Cajon cottages. You'll have fun exploring these on the many Christmas home tours available.

If you've ever wondered what the inside of the famous French Quarter residences were like, now is your chance to visit these genteel homes on the "French Quarter Holiday Home Tour." Join the friends of the Cabildo on the "Creole Christmas Home Tour" to visit historic houses dressed in Creole Christmas decorations.

New Orleans does Christmas up in sumptuous style for the younger set. Take your kids to the Royal Teddy Bear Tea at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Don't worry - in addition to classic tea sandwiches, pizza is also served! The Teddy Bear Tea in the beautifully restored Roosevelt Hotel is held in the opulent Crescent City Ballroom, and includes hot chocolate.

The "Celebration in the Oaks" is widely considered New Orleans' premier Christmas celebration. Held in City Park, the centuries old oak trees, which thankfully survived Hurricane Katrina, are covered in thousands of twinkling lights and provide a magical canopy for an enchanted Christmas festival. Since Katrina the driving tour was eliminated, but the fabulous walking tour has been extended.

There are fun vintage rides the entire family will enjoy, including an antique wooden carousel and a miniature train that tours through the park. The walkways of Carousel Garden and Story land are lined with trees that have been decorated with handmade ornaments by local children - your kids will love choosing their favorites.

Also under the oaks, the "Cajun Night Before Christmas" exhibit includes life-size figures from the book of the same name, which participate in a rollicking animated telling of the story.

The rich history and exotic flavors of New Orleans create a Christmas experience you'll find only in this exciting city. By renting a timeshare you and your family will have time to learn New Orleans' motto first hand - "Laissez Le Bons Temps Rouler" - Let the Good Times Roll! See all New Orleans timeshares.

Vacation to Sint Maarten – The “Friendly Island”

Sint Maarten/Saint Martin, the "Friendly Island", is what many consider to be the best kept secret in the Caribbean. Rent a timeshare and take a budget family vacation to this unique tropical island that is just 186 miles east of Puerto Rico.

One half of this island is Dutch (Sint Maarten) and the other half is French (Saint Martin). It is the smallest inhabited island in the world that is divided by two nations, a peaceful division that dates clear back to 1648.

Each half of the island is known for its distinctive flavor. If you're looking for festive nightlife, exotic drinks such as those made with the native rum-based guavaberry liquors, and exciting casinos, visit the Dutch side. On the other hand, the French side will give you phenomenal duty-free and tax free shopping (including amazing outdoor markets), rich Caribbean cuisine, and even the occasional nude beach.

Don't worry, there are plenty of activities for the younger members of your family, too. You can rent a timeshare at resorts that have kiddie pools, children's playgrounds, game rooms, and even child care. The entire family will enjoy beach hopping, exploring all kinds of beaches from hidden, almost deserted ones to popular beaches such as Baie Rouge and Longue Bay.

Mullet Bay, on the leeward side of the island, has calm water, perfect for the little ones. Although the far end of Cupecoy Beach is clothing optional, the main part of the beach is great for family fun. This beach is surrounded by unique rock formations and there are many small caves to explore.

You'll have a remarkable experience on Mahoe Beach, so be sure to bring your camera. Believe it or not, it's located at the end of the main landing strip for the Princess Juliana International Airport. Because of the airport's position between a large hill and the beach, planes, even as large as Boeing 747s, have to make a spectacular approach and come in just a little above startled sunbathers.

Whatever you plan to do, be it sunbathe, swim, snorkel, surf, play golf and tennis, or hike up to an old fort for a stunning panoramic view of the blue Caribbean, your timeshare stay on the "Friendly Island" will be one you and your family will always remember. See all Sint Maarten and Saint Martin timeshares.

Vacation to the Paradise Coast

The stunning southern Gulf Coast of Florida, including Naples, Marco Island, and the Everglades, makes up what is called the Paradise Coast. The white sand beaches that stretch for 10 miles are so white they almost hurt your eyes. Add these extraordinary beaches to crystal blue Gulf waters and tall swaying coconut palms, and you have an unsurpassed tropical Paradise right on the U.S. mainland.

This is a place where budget-minded families and retirees can rent timeshares and enjoy unsurpassed natural wonders. Spend your vacation exploring several major land reserves. The Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, covering over 11,000 acres, was established by the National Audubon Society to preserve the largest remaining stand of Bald Cypress and Pond Cypress in North America. A 2-mile long boardwalk carries you over fascinating swamp and marsh ecosystems, and through important breeding grounds for the endangered Wood Stork and other wetland birds.

The Florida Panther Wildlife Refuge was established in 1989 to protect the endangered Florida Panther, the only cougar species found east of the Mississippi River. To maintain the protection of the refuge for the endangered animals, you'll be held to designated hiking trails and guided tours.

Of course the most famous major land reserve along the Paradise Coast is the Everglades National Park, the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. Thirty-six species designated as threatened or protected live in the park including the American Crocodile and the West Indian Manatee. The park also contains the largest mangrove ecosystem in the western hemisphere.

There are many ways of exploring the exciting Everglades. Rent a kayak or canoe and go out on your own, or join a tour led by a naturalist. You'll be able to glide through mangroves and inch up close to rays, dolphins and manatees. Or you might want to choose a rousing air boat ride that will take you over saw grass prairies and deep into the Everglade jungles.

Back on the pristine beaches of the Paradise Coast, spend time with nature as you go "shelling." The coast of Marco Island has especially good tide work that brings up a wonderful variety of beautiful shells. Bring along a mesh bag and comb the beaches for what are sure to become the favorite of your Florida vacation souvenirs. See Naples timeshares for rent. See Marco Island timeshares.

Rent a Timeshare at Marriott Frenchman's Cove to Experience What Others are Saying

Rent a timeshare at Marriott Frenchman's Cove and experience for yourself what others are saying: "The most beautiful timeshare I have ever stayed at! Beds that you just sink into. Ocean view from all units. Plenty of space well laid out. Great location!" “Breathtaking views from large windows and balconies facing harbor and islands. The sun sets directly across from the resort for absolutely spectacular sunsets."

If that’s not enough to get you interested here’s more about why the Marriott Frenchman's Cove on St. Thomas Island is a resort of choice for many travelers.

The décor of Marriott Frenchman's Cove pays architectural homage to the Danish influence on St. Thomas which stems from the 17th century when the Dutch East India Company established a presence on the island. The United States purchased St. Thomas, as well as St. John and St. Croix, from Denmark in 1917, creating the territory of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The nearby capital city of Charlotte Amalie (named after the queen consort of Denmark's King Chritian V) has many historic buildings of beautiful Danish design. The city's deep harbor, once a haven for pirates, is now a famous port for cruise ships. It's easy to get to Charlotte Amalie from Marriott Frenchman's Cove - on a fun boat ride!

The U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) are a spectacular vacation destination in the Caribbean. Some of the best snorkeling on the island is right out your timeshare's front door, where the secluded beach in front of Marriott Frenchman's Cove is protected by a coral reef. The popular Megan's Beach, great for playing in the waves, is just a short distance from the resort, but if you go exploring you can find practically deserted smaller beaches around the island.

It's easy to rent a car (if you're up to the challenge of driving on the left side of the road!) and explore St. Thomas, or take one of the many open-air taxis. Ferries run regularly to the other islands of St. John, St. Croix, and the British Virgin Islands. See all Caribbean timeshares.

The Wyndham Smoky Mountains – An Ideal Vacation Spot

There is a lot of hoopla (and deservedly so) about timeshare resorts in tropical places such as the Caribbean and Hawaii, and even fancy ski areas as in the Rockies. But if you are looking for just plain wonderfulness, there are great budget timeshares for rent in beautiful destinations you just might not know about. The Wyndham Smoky Mountains is one such resort and an ideal family vacation spot.

Located in Sevierville, TN, you might think that this destination is a bit too remote. Actually, it's smartly located between Pigeon Forge (a la Dollywood) and Gatlinburg (the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park). If ever there was a fantastic destination for a family vacation, this resort is it.

For year round fun, the Wyndham Smoky Mountains resort has four swimming pools - 2 indoors, and 2 heated outdoor pools. The full-service health club not only offers the latest exercise equipment, but tanning facilities and a sauna as well.

You'll find relaxing in your villa the easiest thing you'll do on your vacation, since every unit has a deck with panoramic views of the mountains and gentle farmlands. When you have your energy back you can get going on the hiking trails that start right outside the resort and take you through lovely protected woodlands.

In December there are many Christmas activities in both Gatlinburg and Dollywood to get the holiday season started. Snow permitting, you can also enjoy downhill skiing at Ober Gatlinburg, and cross-country skiing in the Park.

Besides a fully equipped full-sized kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a Jacuzzi tub in the master suite, your budget timeshare also has a fireplace for those cozy Smoky Mountain evenings. And don't forget the nearby live entertainment at Dollywood, movie theaters and restaurants in Gatlinburg, and outdoor activities such as fishing and golfing. You'll definitely find something for each member of the family when you vacation at the beautiful Wyndham Smoky Mountains resort. See all Tennessee timeshare rentals.

Spend Your Christmas Vacation in our Nation’s Capital

Christmas in our nation's capital - what could be more beautiful or more profound for Americans? Rent a budget timeshare at the Wyndham Old Town Alexandria resort, hop the metro conveniently located just across the street, and take your family into Washington, D.C. for a wonderful Christmas vacation experience.

The first must-see is the Capitol Christmas Tree put up and decorated on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol. This tradition started in 1964 and today the trees are provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The 2009 tree is an 85 foot blue spruce, harvested from the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in northeastern Arizona. The children of Arizona will make the 5,000 ornaments used to decorate the tree.

The second must-see is the National Christmas Tree, across the street from the White House on the Ellipse. The tradition of lighting a national Christmas tree goes all the way back to 1923. The current tree is a 40-ft blue spruce that was transplanted to its present site in 1978.

In 1954 a "Pathway to Peace" was created by planting 56 smaller trees surrounding the National tree. These trees represent the 50 states, 5 territories, and the District of Columbia. All of the trees are decorated and brightly lit for the Christmas holiday season. Each year sponsoring organizations from each state provide tree decorations that are encased in protective plastic globes to shield them from the weather.

Other Christmas displays on the Ellipse this year include a Yule log and a model train. And for the first time there will be Santa's Workshop where youngsters are invited to tell Santa their Christmas wishes. You can also enjoy holiday entertainment each evening of the week on the Ellipse stage where happy Christmas music is performed by volunteer choirs, bands, and dancers.

Travel to Hawaii’s Pacific Islands Arts Festival

One of the most eagerly anticipated events in Hawaii is the annual Pacific Islands Arts Festival. Generally held the third weekend in January, the Festival takes over Kapiolani Park directly across from the Honolulu Zoo at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki.

This is a perfect opportunity to rent a timeshare on Oahu, and really enjoy traditional arts, crafts and foods of the Polynesian islands. Arts and handcrafted products of over 100 island artisians are proudly displayed for public viewing and purchase. The artisians are members of the Handcrafters and Artisians Alliance, a group that was formed in 1999 to facilitate the sale of their exquisite products to visitors and local Hawaiians alike. Most members make their entire living by selling their artistic creations, and rely heavily on the popular Pacific Islands Arts Festival.

The Hawaiian-inspired products include jewelry, clothing, stained glass, ceramics, quilts, wood products, and candles. Each product is displayed for sale personally by the artist. This is a unique opportunity to meet and visit with the artists themselves.

The Festival also includes entertainment such as Hula dancers and a celebration of the Chinese Lion Dance. Demonstrations by individual artists include Hawaiian quilt making and jewelry creation. You'll be able to watch numerous artists working on and completing paintings right there in the park. There are even opportunities to participate - learn how to make a flower lei to take home, and the youngsters will undoubtedly be delighted to get a (temporary!) Hawaiian tattoo!

Of course, no festival is complete without good food, and plenty of traditional Hawaiian dishes are available. Be daring and try the many delicious examples of Polynesian cooking, including lomi lomi salmon, succulent khaula pork wrapped in Ti leaves, pipikaula (a type of beef jerky), and for dessert the amazing haupai, a square of coconut jelly that practically melts in your mouth. Time to Plan your Christmas Vacation to NYC

Christmas is an exciting time in a big city. Rent a timeshare in downtown New York City, and start a new holiday tradition of a family Christmas vacation in the Big Apple. New York City during Christmas is dazzling and fun and unique.

A well known NYC Christmas icon is the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. Topped with a simple glittering star, this giant tree, which averages 65 feet high, is covered with over 5 miles of lights. The lighting of the tree is open to the public and unofficially opens the Christmas season in NYC. The tree lighting is December 2, 2009 and can be viewed through January 7, 2010.

A great family activity is ice skating at the Rockefeller Center skating rink, which has been open since 1936. It's a bit pricey, but your family will have the experience of a lifetime skating on this famous rink surrounded by sparkling Christmas decorations.

Plan to be bedazzled at the Holiday Lights at the Bronx Zoo, where you'll see over a hundred animal and holiday sculptures covered in Christmas lights. While at the zoo you can also enjoy the Holiday Express Train and the ever popular Polar Bear Express Experience. Or take a ride with Clydesdales Ranger, Jesse, and Monty as they tour through the zoo pulling a festive wagon.

The "Singing Christmas Tree" at South Street Seaport is a free event with 2 shows a day each weekend through December. The Big Apple Choir will put a Christmas song in your heart and a big grin on your face as you enjoy this must see "funny choir with good voices."

For a free ice skating experience, the Pond at Bryant Park is the only ice skating venue in the city that does not charge admission. And skate rentals are a reasonable $12.00. The Pond is in a prime downtown location, with unprecedented views of both the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building.

Grand Central Terminal exhibits a dazzling laser Christmas light display on its walls, pillars and famous Sky Ceiling. Take a shuttle down and pop in - it's free, fascinating and full of holiday cheer.

Renting a New York City timeshare is a wonderful Christmas present that your family will remember for a long time to come. Isn't that what Christmas memories are all about?

Five Free Christmas Activities on Oahu

There are many budget-friendly timeshares available to rent on Oahu, the third largest, and the most populous, of the islands of Hawaii. Taking the family to Honolulu for a Hawaiian Christmas vacation is an easy decision to make when you see how much you can save by renting a timeshare.

Once you are settled into your Honolulu timeshare, you'll have time to seek out the many free things to do that bring the magical Christmas season to life, even on a tropical island. You'll find most of these Christmas festivities easily accessible in Honolulu and along Waikiki Beach.

  1. Honolulu City Lights. Honolulu celebrates Christmas all through December by lighting up the city from the financial district to downtown with dazzling Christmas light displays. While enjoying the city lights also stop in at the Honolulu Hale (City Hall) to view the spectacular Christmas trees and wreaths in the lobby.

  2. At the Ala Moana Center's Centerstage, you'll delight in afternoon performances by keiki (children) as they earnestly strum their ukuleles. Dressed in colorful aloha shirts and mumus, these little performers will put a smile on your face with their renditions of fun Christmas songs.

  3. The Iolani Palace is where you can watch "lovely Hula hands" as dancers perform beautiful Hawaiian dances to traditional Christmas music. Held by the gazebo on the lawn in front of the Palace, these free presentations are usually held every Friday afternoon during December.

  4. The Honolulu Boys Choir holds a concert of Christmas music on the Sunday before Christmas at the fourth floor Grand Lanai of the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk. Free and open to the public as seating allows, the beautiful strains of holiday music will put you in a wonderful Christmas mood.

  5. The Kawaiahao Church in Honolulu holds Sunday services in the Hawaiian language. Made from hand-carried coral reef rocks, it took 1000 men to build this historic church in the mid 1800's. Sit in on a December service, enjoy the celebrations of the season in the melodic Hawaiian tongue, and discover the true essence of Hawaii.
And don't miss Santa's arrival on Waikiki Beach - in an out-rigger canoe! (The reindeer are enjoying their sun-splashed Hawaiian Christmas vacation too much to join him!)

For an Affordable Bahamas Vacation Rent a Timeshare

The Bahamas is perhaps the most famous Caribbean vacation destination, known all over the world. Renting a budget timeshare makes a family vacation here very affordable. No matter what island you visit or at what resort you stay, your timeshare rental will give you plenty of time to relax, unwind, and explore this amazing country. The water activities are unsurpassed, the activities on land are numerous and unique.

When you talk about vacationing in the Bahamas, you're biting off a pretty big chunk. This Caribbean archipelago is made up of 29 main islands, 661 cays (low-level sandy islands formed on the surface of coral reefs), and 2000 smaller islands spread out over 100,000 square miles of sparkling blue ocean, starting just 50 miles off the coast of Florida. It has the third largest barrier reef in the world, in what many consider the clearest water on the planet.

An English-speaking country, the Bahamas was a part of the British Empire until 1973 when it gained its independence. It is still a member of the British Commonwealth. Although the Bahamas is not technically located in the Caribbean, it is considered a Caribbean nation and is a member of the 15-nation CARICOM organization of Caribbean states.

Be sure to attend any of the festivals that are plentiful through-out the islands. Junkanoo, a street parade festival of music, dance and art, is held in many towns on both Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) and New Year's Day. Regatta festivals are held to celebrate special social events through-out the year, and often feature one or more days of sailing by old-fashioned family "work boats," along with on-shore entertainment including music and dancing, as well as mouth-watering local food. Speaking of which, also check out the frequent festivals celebrating local food such as the Pineapple Fest on Eleuthera and the Crab Fest on Andros.

A World of Possibilities with Timeshare Exchange

There are many ways to enjoy owning a timeshare. Of course, knowing that every year you have your own place where you can spend your vacation at your favorite destination is one way. Another is to use the timeshare you own as the chance to vacation someplace completely different. You can do that through timeshare exchange.

A very simple procedure will expand your vacation choices. Points are assigned to the value of your timeshare, and to the timeshares of others who also want to exchange. Using those points, you "trade." If the timeshare you want to use is worth more points than yours, you just pay a certain established fee per extra point. If the timeshare is worth less points, you won't owe any extra point fees. Some companies allow you to keep the extra exchange points you don't use.

When you do a timeshare exchange, you'll be using a timeshare exchange company to assist in the legalities. That company will charge an "exchange fee" for administering the process. Some companies require a surcharge on international exchanges, while others charge a simple flat fee whether the exchange is domestic or international. Most companies also charge a nominal annual membership dues fee.

Do your research and find the best companies to work with. As a timeshare owner, you'll find the entire world open to you through the exciting timeshare exchange program.

Get Hooked on Timeshares

It’s not hard to get hooked on timeshares, especially for family travel. After years of traveling with our children - from our toddler to teenagers we finally discovered timeshare rentals and it saved our sanity, and our family vacations!

In the early days, renting a timeshare was not so easy because it was hard to find a listing in the area you wanted to vacation. I’m sure a lot of people may have been scared away from the process, even though the savings were great. But now that there are so many online resources for timeshare rentals, it’s just like booking a reservation at any other travel web site.

Timeshares are available all over the world and they are typically less than hotel rates, (sometimes even up to half the price!) and the best part is: with multiple bedrooms and separate living areas there's plenty of space in which the kids can sprawl out. The kitchens also help enormously in saving money on meals when trying to feed constantly hungry kids.

Timeshares are attached to resorts where you get to use the amenities, too. Generally included in the price are swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, sometimes golf or snorkeling or wind-surfing. You can also find kiddie pools and children's playgrounds and often arcade game rooms. Downtown NYC and San Francisco are the only two places so far where we've rented timeshares that didn't come with resort amenities. But with the savings from hotel and restaurant costs and all of the activities these sparkling cities had to offer right out our front door - who needed a resort? Truly, once you've vacationed with your kids by renting a timeshare, you'll be hooked!

Travel to Cancun – The Caribbean Jewel

Cancun is known as the "Caribbean Jewel" of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. A world-famous destination for honeymooners, and college students on spring break, the beaches, water parks and other amusements make Cancun a great place for a family vacation as well. Rent a timeshare and jump right into the joys of Cancun!

This famous tourist destination was entirely master planned, resulting from a 1967 study by Banco de Mexico to determine the feasibility of tourist development on the Yucatan Peninsula. Unbelievably, at that time the three caretakers of a coconut plantation on Isla Mujeres were the only residents of the area. A nearby fishing village and military base had a total of 117 people, the only other people living nearby.

Today 150 hotels, supported by over 350 restaurants and nightclubs, bring millions of tourists a year to the Cancun area. The island, shaped like a number "7," is where the hotels are located, and is connected to the main city of Cancun by causeways. Beaches on the short end of the "7" have offer gentle surf, while the long side of the "7" has rougher and more active waves.

The beautiful tropical beaches are what draw vacationers, but Cancun offers much more for a truly memorable vacation. The crystal clear waters are teaming with colorful fish and underwater wildlife - a haven for snorkeling and scuba-diving enthusiasts. Sportsfishing is available from small motorboats to large charter expeditions - great for bringing the catch home and frying it up in your timeshare rental kitchen!

For history buffs and admirers of ancient culture, touring the Mayan ruins is a must. The nearby towns of Tulum, Coba, and Chichen Itza offer unrivaled glimpses into what was once the magnificent Maya civilization. A ferry trip to the island of Cozumel will give you both the adventure of exploring Mayan ruins, and the thrill of experiencing some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the Caribbean.
