Disney Vacation Club Adds New Timeshare Resorts

The Disney Vacation Club has outdone themselves with three new, and very different, Central Florida timeshare properties: Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Each resort is unique and has all you’d expect from a magical Disney vacation experience:
  • Kidani Village: Comprised of 492 rooms with spacious accommodations that include kitchenettes/kitchens and multi-bedroom units, this African lodge-style resort features over 30 species of wildlife that roam freely within a 46-acre African savanna.

  • Treehouse Villas: These 60 octagonal, stand-alone suites, which opened June 1, 2009, sit 10 feet off the ground on stilts, nestled in a forest glen. The Villas offer families an intimate retreat with room for nine, and provide all the modern comforts of a Disney Vacation Club experience (see photo).

  • Bay Lake Tower: Opening in August 2009, this new, 15 story property with dramatic views, has been designed to complement the fabled styling of the classic Disney's Contemporary Resort building. It strikes a balance with luxurious modern styling and warm, innovative features. You’ll want to note its’ exclusive and impressive pool which is features a unique water slide wrapped in an intriguing glass block.
Disney is also adding 50 new timeshare units to the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which are scheduled to open late this year in Anaheim, California. Guests will enjoy rooftop views of the Disneyland fireworks, and typical home-like amenities. Construction has also begun on an 830 room resort in Hawaii, scheduled to open in 2011. More than half of those new rooms will be timeshare units.
